Dr. Giacomo Sorelli received his M.Sc. in Physics and Astrophysics at the University of Florence, Italy in 2015. Shortly after he moved for his Ph.D. (which he obtained in 2019) to the University of Freiburg, where he worked on the entanglement of spatial modes of light in atmospheric turbulence. He then worked as a Post Doc at the Kastler Brossel Laboratory in Paris doing work on quantum-inspired super-resolution and quantum radar.
Since October 2022 he is an ERCIM fellow in adaptive optics group combining methods from quantum information processing and statistical data analysis for innovative approaches to imaging and communication through complex optical media.
