Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation IOSB Research Group Smart Ocean Technologies (SOT)
With the participation of various partners from science and industry, the Ocean Technology Campus (OTC) is currently being created around the Rostock freight and fishing port - a unique research infrastructure for innovative marine and deep sea technology. In this context, the research group Smart Ocean Technologies (SOT) has been created, which is supported by the Fraunhofer Institutes for Computer Graphics Research IGD, for Large Structures in Production Engineering IGP, for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS and for Optronics, Systems Engineering and Image Exploitation IOSB.
At Fraunhofer IOSB, the two departments Water and Mobile Systems (WMS) and Systems for Measurement, Control and Diagnosis (MRD) have seconded scientific staff to the research group SOT.
