Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation IOSB Fraunhofer IOSB-INA in Lemgo is a leading research institution in the network Intelligent Technical Systems in Ostwestfalen-Lippe "it's OWL" and core partner in the Competence Center for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Digital in NRW.
Intelligent networking, analysis and monitoring as well as the user-oriented design of technical systems are the core competences of IOSB-INA. Equipment suppliers, machine and plant manufacturers, as well as operators of automated technical systems are among the institute's partners.
With SmartFactoryOWL and Lemgo Digital, IOSB-INA offers its partners outstanding real-life laboratories to support industry and communities in their digital transformation.
In close cooperation with the Institut für Industrielle Informationstechnik of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts OWL (TH OWL) and the other partners in the Centrum Industrial IT, the Fraunhofer Institute in Lemgo is the one-stop shop for intelligent automation and industrial information technology in Ostwestfalen-Lippe and beyond.
The two departments Digital Infrastructure (DIS) and Machine Intelligence (MIT) are located in Lemgo.
