Data Ecosystems: Now it finally starts

Cross-company data rooms enable companies to share their most valuable assets and use them in a value-added way: data. The International Data Spaces Association (IDSA), initiated by BMBF, Fraunhofer and industry, has developed this concept into an international de facto standard - the IDS standard for data sovereignty.

The IDS architecture is now ripe for transfer into effective technology platforms and for establishment as the basis for GAIA-X.  With it, IDSA has paved the way to a trustworthy and sovereign data management. Now the IDS standard is ready for use.

On Data Ecosystems Day on November 26, 2020, experts from the Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence Cognitive Interent Technologies (CCIT), the Fraunhofer ICT Group and the International Data Spaces Association will present and explain these and other topics:

• Certification of participants in data ecosystems

• Importance of IDS in the European Cloud Infrastructure GAIA-X
