Serious games are usually very complex to create. They cost a lot of time, work and money.
Fraunhofer IOSB and especially the Serious Game Framework offers you the possibility to realize a Serious Game according to your needs and budget. The framework is modular and thus allows an individual adaptation to your requirements. For a low-cost variant, for example, only the Missions module needs to be replaced with tasks from your application field, and still you have a full-fledged Serious Game with story, music and great graphics.
The framework also allows easy integration of external software. So if you already have a finished training software and want to continue using it or parts of it in the game, the framework offers you a coupling option.
You can also benefit from our expertise and research. We are happy to take over or support the didactical game design, the concept development and the complete implementation.
The Fraunhofer IOSB also acts as a link between the parties involved. This means, for example, you do not have to worry about the communication and organization of the individual areas (graphics, sound, programming, etc.).
- Common Learning Middleware
The Fraunhofer Common Learning Middleware (CLM) makes it possible to combine different teaching/learning technologies in a common infrastructure. The CLM is based on established, standardized interfaces and exchange formats, so that synergies can be created between the technologies and a company-wide accepted learning world.
This applies both to the provision of content and services between the company's own locations and to the provision of components for third-party providers and potential licensees externally.
