The International Workshop on Infrared Target and Background Modeling and Simulation

The 17th "International IR Target and Background Modeling & Simulation Workshop" serves as a technical forum to bring together members of government, university, and industrial research communities to discuss current developments in IR modeling and simulation of targets, backgrounds, and targets in backgrounds, including validation and optimization.

"The International Workshop on Infrared Target and Background Modeling and Simulation" is scheduled June 2-5, 2025 and will be hosted by Fraunhofer IOSB, Ettlingen, Germany.

Program

The workshop offers a forum for discussing issues that are of general scientific interest in signature modeling and simulation. Contributions will be organized in the following topics:

Target signature modeling
Thermal modeling
Maritime objects and background modeling
Atmospheric propagation and radiative
Optical properties of materials
Scene simulation
Active imaging systems
Database developments for AI applications
Applications

On June 5, half-day training sessions in the morning will be organized by the supporting companies.

All attendees need to be pre-registered. On-site registration at the conference desk will not be possible. Please use our online registration form soon because attendance is limited.
