Decision support systems

Decisions are based on a multitude of information which can't possibly be taken in and interpreted all at the same time. Interactive software systems support with curating the information necessary for specific tasks and visualising it. This makes it possible for the deciding person to consider all the relevant aspects.

Using interactive visualization to make the best decision

The decisionmaking is based on an in-depth analysis of the current situation. Special procedures of interactive visualisation are used to show just as much as is needed in dynamic overviews of the situation. Then a probability-based analysis is made for the simulation and prediction. Depending on the predefined assessment criteria for the use-case, optimal decisions can be derived from that.

Creating a clear, reliable basis for decision-making from the flood of data, this is our mission.

Fields of application

We develop decision support systems for two domains: for civil security and for digital health in clinical decision support. Two application domains in which reliable and secure decision support systems are particularly important.

ASARob

With ASARob, the intelligent, attentive assistance robot is born. It supports people in need of care in everyday situations and enables error-free human-robot interaction.

MED²ICIN

Our intelligent assistance systems support physicians in personalized medicine based on a digital patient model.

MyCellFight

The goal of MyCellFight is to develop an automated immune chip that can be used to predict the immune response of humans. We thereby support in the decision-making process in the evaluation of biological immune responses.

OnkoLeit

OnKoLeit is a medical expert system that uses guidelines to support decision-making during the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

ArGUS

Detect and classify drones in time: In the BMBF project ArGUS, an assistance system was developed for situation-aware defense against dangers from unmanned aerial systems.

S²UCRE

S²UCRE is a project of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in which an intelligent assistance system provides decision support to ensure the safety of major events.

RecceMan

This interactive tool helps Image Exploiters recognize objects based on the object features detected in the image.
